rare blob fishes Angel S

have you seen blob fishes?

sadly we can't keep blob fishes for pets.

not only because blob fishes cannot survive on human grounds, but it is also because there are only 420 blob fishes left in the world. due to overfishing and blob fishes can not move very well in the waters. blob fishes live deep in the water below 2,000 - 4.000

feet.

blob fishes also lack muscles and a swim bladder which makes the blobfish incredibly hard to move. but the blobfish does not need to move very often, because the predators

flow in front of the blobfish and that is how blobfishes collect their food.

poor blobfishes, just a balloon floating in the ocean.

how does a blobfish reproduce?

female blobfishes lay eggs thousands of eggs next to other blobfishes

often female blobfishes can lay about 9,000-108.000.

the blobfish eggs are pink, blobfishes protect the precious pink eggs.

what does the blobfish look like?

the image above is a blobfish's appearance, the blobfish is like an air sac flowing in the deep depths of the sea. the blob fishes look very different compared to being on land rather than water. blobfishes can grow up to 12 inches.

blobfishes are often mistaken for catfishes (the image above)

blobfishes are also mistaken for some pufferfishes

where are blobfishes found?

the deep waters off the coasts of Australia and New Zealand!

whats is the blobfishes diet?

blobfishes often eat mollusks and crabs that happen to cross its path..sea pens, crabs, mollusks, and sea urchins. the blobfish does not have to hunt, so the blobfish swallows its target.
