Glaciers

Glacier bay, national park

Glaciers are a body of dense ice that is constantly moving under its own weight. They form on land and are made up of fallen snow that compresses to ice over many centuries. More than 90% of the worlds glaciers are found in Antarctica and 8% are in green land, because they are very cold and lots of snow fall.
